Frank Van Passel (Belgium, 1964) debuted in 1995 with "Manneken Pis," which won the Youth Award at Cannes. A prolific director for both film and television, his credits include "Villa des Roses" (2002) and the acclaimed series "Moresnet" and "Renaissances." "The Soundman" is his most recent feature film.

Synopsis
May 1940. At the legendary Flagey building in Brussels, a young radio actress and a sound technician find love just as Europe teeters on the edge of war. The film celebrates the golden age of live radio drama and human passion as a form of resistance against the looming storm of the Nazi invasion.
Frank Van Passel nació en Bélgica el 23 de junio de 1964. Realizó varios cortos y trabajó en televisión antes de debutar en el largo en 1995 con Manneken Pis. Su siguiente película fue Villa des Roses (2002). Sus trabajos para televisión (como Bex & Blanche, Terug naar Oosterdonk, De smaak van De Keyser, Amateurs, Dag Sinterclaas, Renaissances y Moresnet) han recibido premios y elogios. Para la gran pantalla hizo también Het varken van Madonna (2011) y el documental Gestolen Jeugd (2012), y finalmente The Soundman.
