Karim Aïnouz (Brazil, 1966) is a director and visual artist. His debut "Madame Satã" (2002) premiered at Cannes Un Certain Regard. His prolific career includes "The Silver Cliff" (2011) and "Invisible Life" (2019), which won the Un Certain Regard Prize. A regular at major festivals, he has also served on the International Jury of the Berlinale and developed visual arts installations globally.
