Tudor Cristian Jurgiu (Romania, 1984) is a filmmaker and professor at the University of Bucharest. His debut feature "The Japanese Dog" (2013) premiered at San Sebastián and won Best Film at the Vilnius and Warsaw festivals. His second feature, "And They May Still Be Alive Today," premiered in 2020.

Synopsis
Flavia and Luca, two teenagers with absent parents, form an "alternative self-chosen family" in a prefab housing block. Guided by Andrei Butică’s agile camera and inspired by Pialat and Rohmer, the film captures the vigor and intelligence of youth in a world of commitment fears and mutual care.
