Akinola Davies Jr. is a British-Nigerian filmmaker, writer, and visual artist. His work explores identity, the African diaspora, and contemporary culture. He co-wrote his debut feature, "My Father’s Shadow," with his brother Wale, building on his success in music videos and experimental shorts.

Synopsis
A semi-autobiographical tale set during the 1993 Nigerian election crisis. A father and his two estranged children navigate a fragile, oppressive Lagos.
