Synopsis

Set in 1811, this animated feature follows 12-year-old Mary Anning as she hunts for fossils to support her family. Following a cryptic drawing from her missing father, she pioneers a new field of science. Unlike Francis Lee’s "Ammonite," this version focuses on her early years as the first female paleontologist, recovering with freshness the memory of a pioneer often ignored by her male peers.
