Milagros Mumenthaler (Argentina, 1977) grew up in Switzerland. Her debut feature, "Back to Stay" (Abrir puertas y ventanas, 2011), won the Golden Leopard at Locarno and the Golden Astor at Mar del Plata. Her second film, "The Idea of a Lake" (2016), competed at Locarno and San Sebastián. "The Currents" (Las Corrientes) is her third feature film.

Synopsis
At the peak of her fashion career in Switzerland, Lina experiences a sudden, internal shift. Returning to Buenos Aires, the film uses images, sounds, and silences to convey an interior state that words cannot capture. The narrative observes the unequal affective economy of motherhood and marriage within clean, bourgeois spaces, showing how a successful life can quietly crack from within.
