Jaume Claret Muxart (Barcelona, 1998) is considered one of the most promising voices in new Catalan cinema. A graduate of EQZE, he directed the acclaimed shorts "Ella i jo" (2020) and "Die Donau" (2023). "Strange River" (Extraño río) is his first feature-length film.

Synopsis
Dídac travels along the Danube when a mysterious boy emerges from the water, altering his family dynamics and awakening new desires. Director Jaume Claret treats adolescence as a "liquid state," using the river as a constant visual metaphor in this hypnotically serene debut.
