Leonardo Di Costanzo (Ischia, 1958) worked in Paris for French television before transitioning to fiction with "L'intervallo" (2012). His acclaimed prison drama "Ariaferma" (2021) established him as a key voice in contemporary Italian cinema. "Elisa" is his fourth feature film.

Synopsis
Elisa has spent ten years in prison for a crime she barely remembers. When she joins a criminological study, her memories begin to take shape through a tense exchange. Director Di Costanzo uses this real-life case to explore "restorative justice," shifting the cinematic question from "who deserves punishment?" to "how can we repair the damage?"
