Cai Shangjun (Beijing) is a director and screenwriter graduated from the Central Academy of Drama. He won the Silver Lion for Best Director at the Venice Film Festival for "People Mountain People Sea" (2011). His work, including "The Red Awn" (2007) and "The Conformist" (2017), often explores the psychological toll of China's rapid societal changes.

Synopsis
He sacrificed himself for love, taking the fall for a crime she committed. Unable to repay him, she leaves to start anew.
