Pietro Marcello (Campania, 1976) is a celebrated Italian director known for blurring the lines between documentary and fiction. After gaining recognition with "The Mouth of the Wolf" (2009), he achieved international fame with the fiction feature "Martin Eden" (2019), which won the Volpi Cup at Venice. His work is characterized by its painterly aesthetic and archival sensitivity.

Synopsis
