Synopsis

Michel is a compulsive womanizer and a professional con artist. When he meets Gloria, she falls in love with him like so many before her—only more intensely. For Gloria, Michel becomes her reason for living. Their relationship is passionate and boundless. When Gloria discovers Michel’s scams, she chooses to become his accomplice rather than risk losing him. Together, they embark on a wild and deadly odyssey, their unchecked passions pushing them to the brink of madness. Based on a real case that shocked the United States between 1947 and 1949, the film revisits the story of Martha Beck and Raymond Fernández. More than the crimes themselves, Du Welz is interested in exploring the destructive force of obsessive love.
