Miguel Antunes Ramos is a Brazilian filmmaker whose work explores the transformation of urban landscapes and the persistence of historical violence. His films have been exhibited at major festivals such as Rotterdam, Oberhausen, and It's All True. A graduate of the University of São Paulo (B.A. 2012, M.A. 2021), Miguel is currently developing the award-winning documentary "Dragones" (Berlinale DocStation, Thessaloniki Development Grant).

Synopsis

At seventeen, Daniel Pentecoste was once Brazil’s most famous child preacher. Now, as he grows older, he faces the uncertainty of a fading future. Meanwhile, twelve-year-old João Vitor stands at the peak of his popularity, preaching to millions through livestreams and smartphones. A Voz de Deus reveals the childhoods hidden beneath these public personas, offering a reflection on a Brazil in transformation—where politics and religion increasingly intertwine.
